Hair.
Hair, being my forte, I love doing all types of hair styles, but my favorite being a very easy, laid back look that everyone is able to do on their own with the right tools. The looks are seemingly traditional and care free, some you need to get a bit more serious for those nights out. Below is a list of looks and what products to use to achieve these looks.
WET/ DRY TEXTURIZING SPRAY
This styling spray adds volume and texture to hair to create a sexy, wind-blown feel. Its salt-infused formula adds fullness and hold. Salt water is no secret to editorial stylists for adding volume and texture. Anyone who has been in the ocean knows of that salty, sun-dried, wind-styled feel. So while Bumble and Bumble hasn't exactly bottled the real thing - they've replicated and improved it, including seaweed and kelp extracts to enhance moisture.
To Use: Spray in towel dried hair, scrunch in, blow-dry until almost dried and then spray throughout hair and scrunch one last time. If you would like a little more finished look grab a few pieces and add in a few loose curls.

VOLUME / DRY SHAMPOO
Using this product is perfect to create major volume and texture with just a little dry shampoo for day of, or for next day styling. This product is perfect to create textured curls, a refresher, or that added volume for a night out.
"Like an oil-blotting sheet for hair, it degreases in a flash. It even serves as a volumizer for fine hair. (Keep in mind that you need to shake the can until you hear the ball rattle inside before spraying—otherwise it comes out too powdery.)" -Allure

SMOOTH HOLD
Oribe has it right when it comes to most styling products, this one in particular is perfect for those pesky fly-aways or if your hair tends to move around a lot after a washing (aka BANGS) this will keep everything in place with a smooth flexible hold. Great for a guy if he tends to not like anything heavy but needs a light hold - the more you layer the better it will work for his hair. Used on wet or dry for various effects, after drying add a dab to the front of your hair for an even better hold.

A lot of clients ask how to take care of your hair, below is an article of various hairstylists and their opinions that I couldn't agree more with or write better myself that I found from bustle.com by, Julia Teen.
- Julia Teen writes: The ultimate dream: walking into a salon, and walking out with exactly what you’d envisioned. Yet everyone has a story about that one request that got lost in translation. There are mistakes like subtle balayage turning into looking like your ends were dropped into a vat of bleach (“I said Jessica Biel… not Jessica Simpson!”), to your one inch suddenly turning into three. Either way, it’s no good. Most of us don’t speak hairdresser, so here are some salon tips direct from the pros, for getting the most out of your visit. (Spoiler alert: BRING. PICTURES.)
- “Don’t try to use salon lingo — every salon uses its own terms! So what works in one salon may mean something different in another salon. The best way to get what you want is to just ask for it in layman’s terms. Your own language in your own words so you can describe exactly what you want…. and bring pictures!” —Celebrity colorist and salon owner Rita Hazan
- “The day you cut your bangs is the day you start growing them out! Meaning, they’re a lifestyle change… Bangs dramatically change the way you look and truthfully, some women are rarely satisfied with them the way they had imagined. Upkeep and letting them grow out is a timely process. You have to decide whether it’s worth your while.” —Michael Canale of Canale Salon
- “We love it when our clients bring in pictures from the runways and red carpets for us to recreate. That is our specialty — recreating the most up to date looks for our clients, whether it is a braid, up do, blowout, makeup, or a fun manicure. When we can see what the customer is envisioning, not just have them describe it, we can make sure they leave happy!” —Jessica Jekkel of Assembly Salon
- “Bring in three pictures of hair colors — one you love for yourself right now, one you would consider changing to or would dream of ‘one day,’ and one that you don’t like the tone or shade — i.e. brassy, red, ash, etc — this one is the most important. When having a consultation, the client’s description of a ‘red or brassy’ tone is different than what the stylist sees. Showing a picture will help differentiate both descriptions. That way, the stylist will be able to help get something you ‘love’ that will possibly move into something you ‘dream of’ in the future.” —Tina Dizon of The Private Room
