I used to be a lover of makeup wearing a lot of it, as the years passed and my love for makeup grew my love but as I get a bit older I am realizing less is more and loving the minimal makeup look for every day. Special events or a night out is appropriate to spice it up with a little contouring and heavy shadowing in a classic way, but for a daily basis only the basics matter.

THICKEN LASHES / SETTING FOUNDATION
Dust with a loose powder before applying mascara for a thicker, voluminous fringe. Laura Mercier translucent powder also acts great as a setting powder after applying foundation and cream blush for a natural, oil-free, non-cakey look.

PERFECT LINER
To get a black liner look without the fear of smudging, line your lids with a black eyeliner, I like to use MAC - Definatly Black ($18) and the proceed to line with Dior Black Eyeliner.

To give your lashes a quick "perm" blast them with a blow dryer to give a nice hold all day / night.

To get a dewy complexion, apply another layer of your favorite moisturizer after foundation.

Then sweep a mat bronzer like Tarte's Amazonian Clay Matte Waterproof Bronzer, down both sides of your nose with a round eyeshadow brush. Blend together and you will see the difference!
